Richard and the team have completely ripped out and refit both our ensuite and family bathroom this year. Richard arranged our plastering, tiling and electrics so we didn't have to which made the process so much easier. Boiler relocation - we chose Playford’s based initially on a recommendation but after meeting Rich and the time he spent on quoting the job and a competitive quote, he was our first choice. Highly recommended and in fact, we have already recommended him to 3 people and he only finished the job last week! Great communication throughout from quote to end of job. Meticulous attention to detail, and a very thorough, neat work. Rich was always on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. Everything is working perfectly and we couldn’t be happier with his work. He even picked up on some previous shoddy work and talked us through what needed doing and checked that we were happy before proceeding. OMG. This company is a life saver. I sent a message this morning at 7.15 explaining about a leak in my mother in laws kitchen. She had no water from last night after her tap came away in her hand. Richard certainly had his work cut out sorting out our kitchen! He installed a new boiler, but had to move all the existing pipework as we wanted the boiler on the wall and not on the floor. He also removed all the redundant pipework the previous owners plumber had left, replaced the original 1970's pipework with copper, move the stopcock from an inaccessible place, fix a leaking bath waste, plumb in a new gas hob and fridge freezer. Extremely happy with the high standard of work, and love our new kitchen. And have  the peace of mind that everything is now properly and safely! Richard Playford has been a gem to my parents aged 93 and 81. Richard serviced their boiler and treated these guys with curtesy and respect. A few weeks later they found themselves without hot water and immediately thought of Richard, where he discovered a serious issue with their hot water tank. Richard spent time explaining the problem to them, made them safe and organised for a return visit after ordering the parts required. The same week their shower sprung a leak and flooded their wet room, Richard did an emergency call out to them, (early on the Sunday morning), and helped this elderly couple to mop/clean up and turn the water off! Needless to say, he fixed everything for them within the week, offering them the type of service that is invaluable! My parents sing his praises at every opportunity! Decided to get the bathroom renovated, Richard came to us before hand to give us some ideas, he started work and unearthed some problems where the old suite had been leaking leaving the floor and walls saturated, he dealt with it and replaced floors and wall linings.
